Oxhey skatepark in Watford has several skateparks all suited to different styles of skateboarding and different abilities. The skateparks are perfect for all levels of skateboarders from beginner intro lessons to advanced coaching.
The skateparks are made up of different sections. 1) Beginner style section near the cafe has a very small and mellow bowl, mini, bank ramp and low manual pad. Beginner.2) Big smooth concrete launch ramps in a line, comprising of three waves and a big quarter at the end. Intermediate to advanced.
3) Large pump track with bowl section in the middle and a curved quarter pipe at one end. Intermediate to advanced.
4) Street plaza with a range of smooth and slightly rough marble ledges, big bank ramp at one end and at the other two high hubbas with stairs and hand rails. Intermediate to advanced.
5) large quarters with coping flow style section. Advanced.

We offer:
Beginner lessons help you to learn the basics of skateboarding. Things like how to stand on your board, push, turn and slow down. Then moving into basic tricks like popping the board up and catching it to hippy jumps and finger flips. You?ll be surprised how much you can learn and progress in just one lesson.
Intermediate sessions start taking you through the different stances on the board and the different styles of tricks. With a bit of guidance, good practice and helpful tips it wont be long until you have landed a stack of tricks.
Advanced coaching sessions gives you detailed feedback on tricks and techniques, with video analysis, helpful guidance and tips. These advanced sessions will help push you and your abilities in a safe and constructive way. The advanced sessions will work on your consistency of tricks and progress you towards the harder tricks in skateboarding. Lines of tricks can be filmed and put into a video part for progression and future sponsors.
We can provide all equipment for beginners if needed free of charge.
The skateboard lesson/ coaching can take place at your local skate park, at a public park near you or even at your home, as long as there is an area of smooth concrete to skate. If you are unsure of a location we can help best advise you.
Private sessions can be 1-to-1 and up to 4-to-1. If you would like to book a bigger group, corporate group or a birthday group please contact us.

What happens if there is wet weather?
Trick Tech needs at least 24 Hours notice before the start of the lesson to rearrange the lesson due to wet weather, otherwise the lesson will be charged in full due to the booking and costs of the instructor / coach. The lesson can still go ahead in wet weather, make sure to bring suitable clothing.
Can we do a joint lesson with different abilities?
Yes we can do joint and group lessons, with different abilities and ages. The session will help each individual work on the skills they need to progress.
Where do I meet my instructor?
Instructor / coach will meet you at the location you have booked or have agreed with Trick Tech. Instructor will be looking for you and if need be will call you on the supplied number at the time of booking.
Are instructors / coaches qualified?
All our instructors and coaches have been selected due to their professionalism, experience of instructing and coaching as well as their high level of skill and dedication to the sport. All the instructors and coaches have the relevant qualifications, first aid training and DBS checks.
Do I have to wear pads and a helmet?
You have to wear a helmet and the pads are optional. It is strongly advised to wear all pads and Trick Tech recommends that you do.
Do I need to be of a certain standard to do a lesson?
No you do not need any experience on a skateboard.
Is equipment supplied?
Equipment is not supplied for junior skateboard club.
What age do you have to be?
We teach as young as 4 years old and have taught people in their 60’s. Kids aged 6 and younger will need their own helmet and pads.
