Trick Tech has been coaching freestyle snowboarding since 2010 — from first park runs to sponsored riders, professional contracts and international team selection.

Whatever your level, the goal is progression that actually sticks.

We coach tricks, technique, style and confidence through individual feedback, demonstrations and video analysis. You ride at your level, work on your goals and progress at your pace.

THE TRICK TECH GRADING SYSTEM

Your riding isn’t measured by one big trick.

The Trick Tech grading system tracks your complete freestyle progression — technique, control, tricks, features, style and consistency.

Work through six levels, unlock new challenges and build the foundations needed to take your riding further — earning your Trick Tech Level Up sticker every time you complete a level.

For adults and kids 8+
Level up student rates available with valid student ID (Tick Add on option + ID in booking section)
Slope pass is included if added to the booking.
Equipment is included if needed, such as clothes, boots, board and helmet.
Helmets must be worn.
Please bring your own gloves (you can buy them at the Snow Center)
Extra protection like knee pads elbow pads and back protectors are strongly advised.
Minimum standard: Passed off from the lesson slope or able to do controlled link turns on the main slope.
Meet up point:: Floor 1 at the benches near the slope entrance.

Where do I meet my coach?

Your coach will meet you in the rental area at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead. Look out for a coach wearing a pink Trick Tech coaching hoodie.

Can I learn freestyle tricks?

Yes! We specialise in freestyle snowboard coaching, from your first flat-ground tricks and basic jumps through to more advanced freestyle techniques. Sessions are tailored to your ability and goals.

Can I reschedule my lesson?

Yes. We require at least 72 hours’ notice to reschedule your lesson, subject to availability. Requests made with less than 72 hours’ notice will normally be charged in full.

Can I cancel my lesson?

Cancellations require at least 72 hours’ notice. Eligible cancellations receive credit towards a future lesson rather than a refund. Cancellations within 72 hours will normally be charged in full, with no credit issued. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Is snowboard equipment provided?

Yes. We can provide a snowboard, boots, helmet and other essential equipment if needed. Please bring your own gloves, suitable clothing and snowboard socks. Helmets are compulsory for all participants.

What ability level do I need?

All participants must be main slope ready, meaning they can confidently use the ski lift and link turns down the slope. Our coaching is designed to develop your technique, confidence and freestyle skills.

Is my slope pass included?

Slope passes are not included in the standard coaching price but can be added as an extra when booking. Alternatively, you can purchase your own directly from The Snow Centre. If booking your own, we strongly recommend purchasing it well in advance to ensure availability for your lesson.

Can people of different abilities share a lesson?

Yes, provided everyone meets the minimum main slope requirements. Our coaches adapt the session to suit each rider’s ability and individual goals.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

Yes. Helmets are compulsory for all snowboard lessons. You can bring your own or use one of the helmets we provide.

What should I wear?

Wear warm, waterproof clothing suitable for an indoor snow slope, along with long socks and gloves. Layers are recommended so you can stay comfortable throughout your session.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your lesson to allow time for checking in, collecting equipment and getting ready. Your coaching session begins at the booked time.

What happens if I’m running late?

Please contact Trick Tech as soon as possible. Late arrivals may receive a shorter lesson, as we cannot guarantee additional coaching time beyond your booked session.

Can I book regular coaching?

Absolutely! We offer one-off sessions and ongoing coaching to help you develop your technique, build confidence and progress towards your snowboarding goals.
